Measurement Fun | A Kindergarten Math Game

Math measurement game activity for Kindergarten
We played a simple math game yesterday, that had students practicing counting, measurement, and comparing lengths...all in one activity!
Students worked in pairs. A length of yarn was placed between them.
Kindergarten measurement partner activity that includes addition and comparing lengths- just need yarn, dice, and Unifix cubes. See post for how to play!
They took turns rolling a die, then joining that many Unifix cubes together. They laid their stack beside the yarn {on their side} so they could see how close they were to the end. Of course, they also compared their stack with their friend's to compare the lengths!

Play continued back & forth until someone reached the end of the yarn. What a fun activity...and super competitive too :)
